EMILY ZHANG is currently a sophomore in high school who creates work and derives inspiration from elements of Chinese history, culture, and her own family background that compel her to learn more about her roots. She loves to work with various mediums and approach art in a way that drives her closer to understanding her family origins. Emily has been recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards consecutively since 2013, and is a National YoungArts Foundation finalist in the visual arts. She hopes to develop and grow through her work and meet others who share the same passion for the arts.
