APERTURE
DEVANSHI KHETARPAL
For S.
Where blue and empty
you stand feeling your bones
for water, there is a bird,
sinking. The river picks it up
as a ritual meant to be
forgotten. See, the light breaks
its feathers for you
to see me alive and opening.
